Sunday Morning Silence

On Sunday mornings, Andrea used to wake up excited for church. Lately, she felt numb. She still attended, still listened, still smiled—but the sermons felt distant, the songs unfamiliar. She doubted not God’s existence, but His nearness. Why do I feel so far when everyone else seems so sure? she asked herself.

One evening, Andrea finally voiced her doubts to a trusted friend. Instead of correction, she received compassion. “Faith isn’t always loud,” her friend said. “Sometimes it’s quiet endurance.” That night, Andrea prayed a simple prayer—not for answers, but for honesty. Slowly, the silence began to feel less like abandonment and more like an invitation to seek God again without pretending.

Spiritual Connection
Doubt thrives when we believe faith must always feel strong. God often meets us in seasons of dryness, teaching us to trust His character even when emotions fade.

Key Verse
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” – James 4:8
