Caleb
knelt beside his bed long after the house had gone quiet. He had prayed the
same prayer for months—for his father’s health to improve, for strength, for a
miracle. Each night he spoke with faith, but each morning brought the same
reality: hospital visits, medications, and slow decline. Doubt crept in not as
